MY MUSIC

"End of May" represents years of artistic development, featuring compositions that showcase the depth and versatility of contemporary bass-driven music.

Original music in "End of May" embodies a profound sense of unity and a coherent vision of sonic space, where creativity and composition coexist without sacrificing the spontaneity and instinctive expression that have historically defined jazz in all its forms. Nothing remains static in this accelerated process of evolution and transformation—a quality that becomes evident through the developmental approach musicians bring to their solo moments. Sometimes, the only way to find direction is to embrace the unknown, surrendering to moments of complete improvisation as heard in tracks like "San Menaio" or "The Door Behind the Door"—the latter inspired by the writings of journalist Tiziano Terzani. These compositions represent musical explorations where structure and freedom perform together, creating unexpected pathways through familiar jazz territories.

Each track invites listeners into a carefully crafted sonic world where jazz sophistication meets modern production, creating an experience that is both familiar and refreshingly original.

LISTEN TO THE SINGLE 'RUHE'

This piece draws inspiration from Max Klinger's evocative 1878 etching series "Ein Handschuh" (A Glove), translating visual art into a rich musical narrative.

The composition's foundation lies in sophisticated counterpoint and the intricate layering of multiple melodic lines, creating a continuous dialogue of musical imitation. This approach pays homage to the poetic sensibilities of early twentieth-century classical masters such as Erik Satie and Maurice Ravel, whose influence can be heard in the piece's elegant structural framework. Within this carefully crafted compositional architecture, creativity and improvisation flourish freely, allowing both the string and jazz quartets to explore expressive territories while maintaining the work's cohesive artistic vision. "Ruhe" exemplifies the seamless integration of classical tradition with contemporary jazz innovation that defines my musical approach.
